Mozambique preschool

The classroom is the most important place in the school where children spend most of their time and create the most emotion. If we want to improve the quality of education, we have to change today's classroom design. But classroom design hasn't changed that much over the years, while the world needs a young generation: dynamic, creative, passionate, but also have to love nature…
What better way to get future generations enthusiastic about learning than in classrooms with fewer walls?
Our concept proposes a classroom with only two walls to enlarge the space in two directions and to integrate into the environment, reducing building materials and inspiring students.
Classrooms are rotated to increase the capacity of using indoor and outdoor spaces, providing optimal ventilation for classrooms
Buffer spaces behind the classroom are like semi-private corridors. They help students easily interact with each other, creating a miniature society in the school and linking the central common space, the classrooms, and the corridor.
The project is composed of: wooden structure, sand walls, tires walls... creating an ecosystem, vertical agriculture, natural ventilation adapted to the climate, and local economy.
The A-tree is preserved and becomes a central place in the school, the place of meeting, of interaction between students and teachers. It is truly a space connecting people and nature, reminiscent of the Senegalese community culture.
The school with its diversity of spaces will be a place to stimulate learning and to help children develop more fully.
Let their imaginations breathe, run further, and have bigger ideas for the future...
